gathered thoughts
Welcome to the Gather blog — a home for real conversations, practical tips, and stories that go beyond fitness fads.

Whether you’re new to training or a long-time member, this is where we dig into the stuff that matters: from simple health strategies and mindset shifts, to movement advice you’ll actually use. No fluff. No BS. Just ideas that help you feel better, move better, and live stronger.

What makes Gather different isn’t just how we train — it’s how we think about training.
This blog brings that thinking to life.

Frequently asked questions
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!
What’s the difference between Small Group PT and GroupFit?
Small Group Personal Training is just that - personalised strength coaching with up to six people in a session, combining individual attention with group motivation. GroupFit classes are conditioning workouts with up to 12 people, ideal for those who are more confident with their technique and just looking to build overall fitness rather than strength.
Do I need to be fit to start?
Absolutely not, that's why you have guidance and support from a coach every time you train! We do recommend everyone starts with our 3 weeks Foundation programme to ensure a basic understanding of the compound movements, but Gather is for all fitness levels - from beginners to experienced gym-goers. Programmes are tailored to your needs and abilities.
Why do you have a no dickheads policy?
If you have to ask, we're probably not going to be the place for you! What we really mean is we foster an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone, free from judgement and egos.
What is the 21-Day Foundations Programme?
It’s our signature 3-week programme designed to introduce you to Gather, give you a chance to experience Small Group PT and all our classes, and then make an informed decision as to which combination is right for you.
Can I just attend classes?
We ask that all new members attend an introductory 60 minute onboarding session with one of our coaches to ensure you can train safely before joining our classes. Once you've completed this you're free to join as many or as few classes as you like. Our onboarding sessions are held every Monday at 7am, 1pm and 7pm.
